Xlator uses dictionnaries of translated strings :

Dictionaries available for download : AppleGlot files for iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS

Dictionaries creation from folders containing translated :

     • strings files

     • stringsdict files

     • nib, storyboardc and intentdefinition files

     • lg files (AppleGlot)

Shortcuts

File Type : Clipboard copy in text or .stringsdict entry format

Shortcut : Keyboard shortcut definition

     • Modifiers combination: Shift , Option, Command, Control

     • Key or Function Key or Escape Key

Definition : Defines text to be copied in clipboard

     • Prefix, midfix, suffix

     • First term, Second term : Search Field content, Keyword, Search result for prefered language, current selected translation

Application : Select the application you want to launch/switch to after clipboard copy

Touchbar : Add Shortcut button in touchbar (if supported)

Translation Languages

Supports any languages defined in Apple's development environment

Language list automatically generated from current dictionary

Language can be :

• Activated/deactivated for translation

• Reordered for translation results

• Linked to another language for more translation results

Xlator Light Limitations

The Demo release of Xlator (Xlator Light) is a free, limited release of Xlator. The only difference with Xlator is that the translation result shown are limited to 2 languages.
